Intel Quad Core processor for Acer
Acer Aspire has updated the 8930G which now has an Intel Quad Core processor. The large screen of 18 inches, the huge high-definition display, the awesome sound and the multimedia extras it is endowed with make it a compelling desktop replacement notebook: an 18.4-inch display (1080p resolution and 16:9 ratio), True 5.1 Dolby sound and a CineDash control panel for multimedia playback.
In terms of design, the Acer Aspire 8930G is very similar to its predecessors, as we shall see later. The finish is very neat and no details have been left to chance: the hood and the rounded edges are painted making the final product relatively fine for a screen of this size.
CineDash system included
The keys in the keyboard do not pose problems as that are all well-sized. They will not sink very slightly if you push them but this is usually the case with all laptops. However, we have noticed that letters often go by the wayside if the keys are not firmly pressed on. Logically, given its size, Acer Aspire 8930G has a numeric keypad on the right side. With the help of the CineDash, you can easily control the media player and the volume of the computer. The True 5.1 Dolby surround utilizes six speakers: three in the keyboard deck above the Function keys, two in the palm rest and a tube-shaped while the 10-watt Acer Tuba CineBass subwoofer runs along the length of the machine, all with the purpose of delivering powerful audio.
Great responsive touchpad
The touchpad responds perfectly to the slightest finger pressure and a quick scroll area is also available. Finally, a fingerprint reader is integrated between the two buttons of the touchpad. Between the mouse buttons there is a biometric fingerprint reader. A 6-in-1 card reader is found in the Aspire 8930G’s front edge, and on the sides you’ll find four USB ports for VGA, HDMI, Ethernet, eSATA, modem and a 54mm ExpressCard.
