Acer beTouch E400
The beTouch E400, Android smartphone under 300 euros
Acer breaks the price, with the terminal equipped with the latest version of the Google Android
Operating System.
The E400 beTouch is a low cost smartphone. With a resistive screen and not capacitive, and therefore less sensitive Android 2.1 and it offers all the features expected on a multimedia terminal, while costing less than 300 euros to its output.
The smartphones last generation cost about 600 euros when they leave. This does not happen the next unit of Acer, the beTouch E400, which will cost only 299 euros! Yet the essential features of a modern terminal are there: touch screen 3.2 inches (8.1 cm), motion sensor, photo sensor and GPS chip. To which is added the system Android (by definition open, so free), proposed in its latest version, 2.1, nicknamed Flash. Good news, she manages navigation on the brink. Bad news, the resistive screen of E400 will not support this feature.
Concessions on the screen
Of course, no need to go beTouch compare the E400 with the most advanced phones, such as One awaited Nexus, the most excellent Motorola Milestone or HTC’s tempting Desire. Indeed, the terminal proceeds Acer inevitably some concessions to offer a low price. Thus, the processor at 600 MHz is not the latest (at the time 1 GHz generalizes), While the photo sensor is devoid of flash. But the major concession on its screen, touch certainly, but not resistive capacitive. Specifically, it will not touch like the iPhone: the resistive screens, much less sensitive, in fact require a real pressure, as low as it is. Not necessarily ideal for typing long messages to the virtual keyboard … Acer promises, however, that the screen is responsive.
