Very bright viewfinder and good autofocus
The viewfinder is very bright and offers a very convenient magnification of 0.87. It is associated with an autofocus system with nine zones. Obviously, the 500D also allows the subject of the screen but it is regrettable that it is not adjustable. The development is possible using several methods, detection of contrast, not having appeared particularly swift, at least with the zoom base which was disposed of. For recording video, you must select this mode on the rotary switch. Three definitions are offered with the Full HD (1920 x 1080) but unfortunately with an image frequency “bastard” of 20 frames per second, the other modes with 30 fps The 500D is capable of recording video quality but it will not satisfy those who are shooting video as originally intended.
Complete shooting possibilities
We will not explore the possibilities of shooting photos of 500D, which are obviously very complete and similar to previous models of Canon in almost every detail.
