Dell ST2410
Not very convincing
This 24-inch Dell signed we were not entirely convinced. Equipped with a TN panel, it does not colorimetry foreground. Thus, the black level provided by Dell ST2410 is quite high which affects dramatically the contrast measured at a small 615: 1. By default, the colors are also inadequate. Standard mode is too hot, how cold is not enough. In short, we must go through a stage of manual adjustment, not always easy when you have not used. And therein lies the problem. With a price of 230 euros, the screen wants to be very public and in these circumstances it is difficult to require users to spend hours to fix it. If it is a good compromise for the photo, the video game is quite feasible. Dell ST2410 is not a gaming monitor but it is playable.
Better in video mode
In the videos, the screen of Dell ST2410 offers a pleasant surprise. The colors provided are not perfect but the movie mode works well. Otherwise, the dynamic contrast is used, a rarity in the models in this comparison. In terms of ergonomics, it is clear that Dell has sought to minimize its costs. The reserves just adjustable screen angle. The finish is still very average for a manufacturer like Dell. The only originality lies in the white back of the unit, which leaves an unpleasant feeling of low-end appliances to the touch. However, we found particularly low consumption for a screen this size with only 21 W in our standard test conditions. It’s very good value for Dell ST2410. To book, however, those seeking a large screen absolutely cheap.
