HMB Movie Palace

Good quality of the image

The Movie Palace is quite attractive, even if his form does not facilitate integration in a salon. The smoked plastic front is sleek and attractive. A large display not very useful and wide touch silver button, which is hardly more complete the picture. From the start, shared folders from any PC connected to the network are recognized through the Samba protocol and it ‘s the same for all file formats except when the sound is DTS which causes jerky streaming. The picture quality provided by HMB Movie Palace is excellent, with good sharpness and fluidity of good quality. Navigation is fairly easy, even if the interface is a bit messy and not necessarily very logical in its organization. It’s manageable but it is not the pinnacle of ergonomics. However, if the remote does not look, it is hierarchical and has even fluorescent buttons.

HMB-Movie-PalacePC connection is possible

To copy files to the hard disk, it is possible to connect the Movie Place directly to a PC via USB or connect another external drive by USB-host. There’s even a memory card reader on the side, a practice especially for photos. To copy files over the network, this can be done by the interface of the Movie Palace. It is less convenient than the PC but works and a copy of 1 GB takes about three minutes, which is not so bad. Fill the disk in this way is however very tedious. To report a WiFi dongle is optional and that the HMB Movie Palace does not offer direct access to Web functions.
