HP HDX16
A 16 inch notebook from HP
The HDX16 is a model whose finish is as polished as the other HP laptops in the range. 16 inches requires a numeric keypad integrated on the right of the keyboard, which is quite handy for those of you who deal with data entry all day long. As for the size of the keys, they are all well-sized and very comfortable to use.
The touchpad is large enough and comes in the right side, it responds perfectly to the slightest finger pressure meant to control the cursor with precision. The buttons are soft; the bright LED buttons above the keyboard provide easy access to key multimedia without having to go deep into software settings.
Good connectivity
The regulars of the mark will feel at home with the connectivity offered by the HP HDX16. In the front, we’ll find the memory card reader, the multi-format microphone and the headphone jacks. Two headsets can be connected together without an adapter. The Blu-ray which also serves as multi-format DVD burner with Lightscribe is surrounded by two USB ports and an antenna connector. An adapter cable adaptable to a standard antenna is integrated with the purpose of watching free channels of the TNT with the HDX16. Most of the connector are on the right side with the Express Card slot, two USB ports including a hybrid USB / eSATA, FireWire (IEEE 1394), HDMI and VGA outputs and finally the Ethernet port (RJ45) and HP’s proprietary connector. A webcam and two microphones are also integrated just above the screen. As the name suggests, the HP HDX16 loads a screen of 16 inches. Moreover, the resolution is perfectly adapted to Blu-ray but you can also connect directly the HDMI output to a television. The operating system is 64-bit Windows Vista.
