Kodak EasyShare M580
Four new compact Kodak 129-199 euros
Wide-angle, zoom x5 and HD video at less than 200 euros, is possible with the manufacturer of low cost cameras.
The EasyShare M585 is a small camera entry level, with a 3 inch screen, 14 megapixel sensor, 5x zoom, wide angle, HD video, HDMI and USB.
Kodak paradox: the old American brand (it dates from 1881!) Is today a leading supplier of sensors for ultra high-end devices from other manufacturers, such as Leica M9 at exorbitant prices. Yet to the general public, Kodak remains best known for its low-end models if not, at least at very low prices.
A wide Web 2.0
The new collection of digital camera manufacturer will only confirm that reputation, with all four products listed at less than 200 euros! They are launched since February 2010, arriving in some stores in April for others. They have in common? In addition to an aggressive price, a playful design, a face recognition function and especially a Share button that can automatically send photos and videos selected to his Facebook account, Flickr and YouTube once the camera connected to a computer.

Beware the picture quality
If you appreciate the design successful enough equipment and comfort of a 3 inch screen, suspicion as to their resolution: 12, a fortiori 14 Mpix definitions are very hard to manage for a small sensor compact, our first tests with the M530 are very poor state of photos (pictures dirty, faded, noisy images …), compared to the much nicer Panasonic F3In a similar price range. Thorough soon.
Positive points
* Low prices
* Three-inch screen
* Design rather pleasant
Negative points
* Picture quality very poor …
* … especially with a 14 Mpix hard to manage!
