Panasonic TX-P50VT2
The first 3D plasma TV from Panasonic
The manufacturer will launch in early May in Europe it’s first 3D full HD plasma TV NeoPDP: TX-P50VT20.
The TX-P50VT20 is the first Full HD TV Panasonic 3D with NeoPDP technology. DLNA and THX certified, this TV incorporates a scanning mode at 600 Hz and produces a higher contrast ratio of 000:1 5000. It is of course a TV connected to the Internet (via a wireless dongle included) and able to access services like Viera Cast and capable to play different media formats (from DviX HD, MP3 to AAC, etc..).
Like most TVs 3D announced the new TX-P50VT20 will be provided with two pairs of active glasses, separately worth a hundred euros. They will synchronize with the TV images to direct “left” and “right” to the appropriate eye. With 120 frames per second, 60 for each eye, the stability of the display is guaranteed, and a striking embossed 3D effect.
A record contrast ratio
This plasma TV showing images of 127 cm diagonal (50 inches) will be THX certified and equipped with a scanning mode at 600 Hz SFD IFC, which added 24p Smooth Film mode for playback without stutters Blu-ray new filter and a High Contrast Filter Pro, molded directly on the slab in order to improve the rendering of black and enhancing contrast. They also reach a record high in native than 5000 000:1.
Several picture modes are also available, including a THX mode, a Movie mode and two modes dedicated ISF Calibration Pro. Takers. The device will also have an Eco mode (with ambient light sensor) and incorporate video processing Vreal 3D Pro 5. The angle of vision will be free, and the response time will not exceed 0.001 ms. Promise quality and fluidity.
TV connectors
The 3D plasma will be, of course, connected to the Internet through a Wi-Fi adapter provided and can therefore use the Viera Cast services including YouTube, Dailymotion, Picasa, Eurosport and a VoD service (on site Acetrax). It will also offer certification and DLNA compatibility with AVCHD, MPEG-2, DivX HD, JPEG, MP3 and AAC and other formats. These formats will be supported by the Wi-Fi, but also by the port SD-SDHC. Two USB ports are also present, one being reserved for the Wi-Fi dongle, the other can be used recordings on hard disk. Please note that files can not be recorded and played back on this TV.
Finally, the side of the connector, the 3D plasma from Panasonic will offer four HDMI inputs, but apparently only two HDMI respond to standard 1.4 (compatible with 3D, then, and audio feedback). Also on the program, two SCART, YUV input, PC input, RS232C port, an optical digital audio output and a headphone output.
As for the price, we already know. It will be 2499 euros. A 65-inch version should also be available (TX-P65VT20E) this summer. No price announced yet.
