Sennheiser PXC 350
Travel series of Sennheiser
In his series “Travel” scheduled for portable use and more specifically the trip, Sennheiser offers several types of helmets. In high-end models it is already bulky, whose appearance is similar to that of a helmet home. If the PXC 350 is compact, it is still on. It comes with a holster rather flat and fold the headphones in all directions, so that the stress is often very acceptable. The advantage of this “big” headphones are naturally it is a circum-aural model. It does you absolutely no press pinna and therefore provides outstanding comfort, while providing a perfect acoustic coupling and thus a high quality sound reproduction.
Good system for noise reduction
Naturally, the PXC 350 features a noise reduction system electronically operated by a switch and powered by two AA R03/AAA (one in each earpiece). Autonomy is advertised as more than fifty hours! The cable includes a volume control, which is often convenient. The operation is still possible in passive mode (if you run out of batteries) but the sound quality suffers because the electronics also provides a correction of the response. The first thing you listen to the PXC 350 is the clarity and detail of the return with timbres very precise and very open sound particularly pleasant. The bass is right there with detail and full but you may find that the PXC 350 is the part that sounds too good to medium and high frequencies. It’s only a matter of taste and a small correction will give you plenty of serious if you wish. Just a question of balance because everything is there.
Test and review conclusions
