Sharp launches its first television RGBY
There will be no 3D Sharp LCD TVs this year, but a fourth color that enhances the quality of the image.
Like other manufacturers, Sharp renewed, in spring 2010, its range of LCD TVs. Except that, unlike the others, he does not put on the 3D bait barge and get them to change their TV, but its technology RGBY.
Four primary colors!
This adds a fourth color (Y Yellow “Yellow”) to the pixels of its LCD TVs, which provides, allegedly, to return more faithfully the colors of skin by expanding the spectrum of yellow and gold. This technology will be incorporated into five of the six series of LCD TVs available in stores starting this month.
SLE but not 3D!
Also new at Sharp, the generalization of the Edge LED backlight on all models, a little history to refine the silhouettes. But not so 3D. The manufacturer expects certainly the right time to launch, even if it is overtaken by Samsung, Panasonic, Sony and others.
Six new series of TVs
In the meantime, there will be six rounds of Sharp Aquos LCD TVs in the shops: LE820E (March), LE810E (April), LE920E (May), and LE822E LE812E (June) and LE320 (between July and September).
Timeshift and HMDI 1.4 to program
The series will be LE920 most upscale with three sizes of a minimum screen (40, 46, 52 inches) from 1799 Euros. This will be LCD TVs, energy-efficient Energy Star certified DLNA, thus capable of playing media gateways UPnP and with 8 GB of internal memory. This will also pause for a short period of time (150 minutes of SD, 60 minutes in HD) live TV. A 100 Hz mode is also present, as an open USB port to different audio files, photo and video, and 4 HDMI 1.4.
The series will be split into three LE822E screen sizes (40, 46 and 52 inches) and offer the same functions as Series LE920 with a different design. For menu, the 100 Hz, the DLNA certification, energy savings, DVB-T tuner, HD cable and satellite, according to the famous break for TV, USB, 4 HDMI inputs and a starting price at 1699 euros for the 40-inch, 2099 Euros for the 46 “and 2799 euros for the 52 inches.
The series will also LE820E available in three screen sizes (40, 46 and 52 inches) and offer the same benefits with a design again slightly different and without integrated satellite tuner. Otherwise nothing changes except the price: 1599 euros for the 40-inch, 1,999 euros for the 46-inch, 2699 EUR for 52 inches.
The series LE812E will be available in two screen sizes (40 and 46 inches). Two 100 Hz TVs DLNA certified, equipped also for DVB-T tuner, cable and satellite HD, but devoid of internal memory and therefore without this famous TV pause function. The 40 inch will be priced at 1499 euros and 46 inches at 1899 euros in Europe.
The series will LE810E fi tuner and satellite will still be a little cheaper. The 40 inches is expected in 1399 euros and 46 inches at 1799 euros.
As for the series LE320E, it RGBY not integrate technology will be marketed in two stages. A first batch will arrive in July with four models (19, 22, 26 and 32 inches), a second in September (37 and 42 inches). Ideal to equip a second room of the house, this series will include a cheap tuner and a HD cable, a USB port and provide the 100 Hz on models 32, 37 and 42 inches. Prices are 349 euros for the 19-inch, 399 by 22 inches, 549 euros for the 26-inch, 749 euros to 899 euros and 32 inches with 37 inches. The price of 42 inches has not yet been announced.
