Apple fixes the flaw of the iPhone and iPad
The vulnerability was discovered by jailbreakme.com corrected by a firmware update.
Ten days after the onset of jailbreakme.com and the consequential discovery of a vulnerability in the PDF as iOS read, Apple has corrected the problem with an firmware update.
Owners of iPhone and iPad that connect their device via the iTunes are now invited to download the version 4.0.2 of the OS (iPhone) or 3.2.2 (iPad). However, no update for the iPhone and iPod Touch first generation has been developed, according to the hacker Planetbeing, which surprised Apple would not correct the fault on these devices.
The Dev-Team, however, reacted quickly and will soon provide a tool « who fixes what Apple will not repair ». In fact a patch for the flaw PDF home for all iPhone, iPad Touch and iPod.
On his Twitter, the Dev-Team also advises fans to jailbreak do not update their phones.
